Augusta GreenJackets extend PDC with Giants to 2012

The Augusta GreenJackets have extended their PDC with the Giants to 2012. I thought the Giants may look into the Midwest League, but they’ve been in the SAL since 2001 when they had to drop one of their two California League teams, and decided to stay.  I think there is now a high likelihood that the Low A teams will remain the same for next year, just as I expect for AA.  Given the number of changes that seem to occur when teams have the opportunity to explore other options, this is pretty surprising to me.

And for those interested in my ballpark quest, Augusta is the one stadium that I went to, but could not attend a game, because it was rained out.  That was in 2000, and I haven’t had the opportunity to get back there.

Now 3 Low A PDCs expiring in 2010:

Burlington Bees – Kansas City (signed through 2010)
Kane County Cougars – Oakland (signed through 2010)
Hagerstown Suns – Washington (signed through 2010
